VOC stands for Volatile Organic Compounds - hundreds of chemicals that evaporate at room temperature, such as benzene, toluene, xylene, formaldehyde, and gasoline vapors. Common sources include paints, solvents, fuels, adhesives, and industrial emissions.
Short-term exposure can irritate eyes, nose, and throat; long-term exposure may cause liver/kidney damage or cancer. A PID sensor detects a wide VOC range with high sensitivity - essential for leak detection, confined space safety, and industrial hygiene.
The built-in pump actively pulls air for fast response. If the pump fails (or in a special emergency), the detector automatically switches to diffusion mode and raises a pump-failure alarm. You never lose gas awareness.
No drivers, no software. Connect via USB - the SKY3000 appears as a removable drive. Copy the CSV log files (100,000 records max, logging interval 5-3600 seconds adjustable).
The man-down alarm (standard) triggers if the operator remains motionless for a set time.
